Summer Basketball Camps In South Carolina - (Clemson)!



Individual Instructional Camp

July 6-9, 2003 (Grades 4-12)

Individual Camp will focus on teaching the fundamentals and emphasizing basic skills and techniques of basketball. Campers receive specialized individual attention throughout the week and are encouraged to improve weak areas while continuing to develop their total game. Camper to staff ratio is 8 to 1. This camp is open to girls grades 4-12. Instruction and competition are grouped by age and ability. While previous experience is helpful, it is not required. Instruction will range from basic to advanced skills.

The morning session begins at 9 AM and is devoted to individual skill development. Campers are divided into small groups to work with various instructors on fundamentals of the game. The afternoon session will focus on team offense and team defense through basic basketball drills. Campers will also attend lectures given by Clemson University coaching staff or well-known guest speakers. The evening session is devoted to one-on-one play, hot shot competition and three-on-three events. Games will be played at the end of each session throughout the day. Campers will have the opportunity to view instructional tapes or highlight films of the nationally ranked Lady Tigers. The evening session will end at 9 PM.

Registration will from 1-2:00 PM in New West Campus Dorm. Camp will conclude at 11:30 AM in Littlejohn Coliseum on July 9th.

All camp registrations must be accompanied by your parental consent form, your physicians statement and insurance information.

Campers are are housed in New West Campus Dorm which are air-conditioned dormitories located within walking distance to Littlejohn Coliseum, Jervey Gym and the cafeteria. Tuition for boarding campers is $295 and includes the cost of instruction, lodging, meals, camp T-shirt and Clemson basketball. Tuition for commuters is $240 and includes the same as the above except lodging and breakfast is not provided. A nonrefundable $100 registration deposit must accompany the application. Make checks payable to LADY TIGER BASKETBALL CAMP. No personal checks will be accepted after two weeks prior to the camp date.

Elite Position Camp Guard - Wing - Post June 23-26, 2003 (Grades 9-12)

This highly intense session offers 4 days of specialized teaching designed for the highly skilled and highly motivated player! This camp is for seriously committed players with personalized instruction from Clemson's Lady Tiger Basketball Staff. Enrollment is limited to maximize the individual attention given to each participant. Campers elect to attend either the guard, wing, or post sessions.

Point guards are taught the skills to become the "coach-on-the-floor" and team leader. Wing players will learn skills necessary to become successful at the shooting guard and small forward positions. Post players will develop techniques to play with power and finesse from both low post and high post positions. All position campers will be introduced to college-level routines and practices while competing against experienced quality players.

Registration will be from 1-2:00 PM in New West Campus Dorm. Camp will conclude at 11:30 AM on June 26.

Team Camps: Session 1 June 14-16, 2003 Session 2 June 20-22, 2003 Session 3 July 11-13, 2003

A three-day camp for varsity and junior varsity teams. Admission to the camp coordinated by the coach of each team. Each team will play a minimum of 8 games against quality competition.

Each session will be limited to 65 teams. Reserve your slot early as sessions will fill up quickly!

Registration will be at 12:00PM in Littlejohn Colliseum.

Team Camp Housing and Fees:
Team campers will be housed in Clemson-area hotels. Tuition includes eight games, lodging, meals and camp T-shirt. Each team will provide their own transportation. Tuition is $205 for boarding and $150 for commuters, and includes eight games and camp T-shirt. A nonrefundable $100 registration deposit for each team must accompany the application. Make checks payable to LADY TIGER BASKETBALL CAMP. No personal checks will be accepted after two weeks prior to the camp date. Only school checks, cashiers checks, or cash will be accepted on registration day.
